Fund Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Fund Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the company’s financial health. Working closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders, the role provides proactive financial insights and drives process improvements in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and oversee daily accounting activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank, supplier, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Prepare and lodge statutory and tax documentation as required.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions during audits.
• Monitor transactions for compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and administrative support to management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a finance or controller role (preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in a UK‑facing finance environment is advantageous.
