Founding QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Founding QA Engineer to own quality for LedgerPro, an AI‑native accounting platform. You will build and maintain the test suite that ensures financial data is always accurate as we launch across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and improve the existing test suite, identifying coverage gaps, flaky tests and performance issues.
• Design and implement test infrastructure, including pyramids, fixtures and CI gates, to make testing fast and reliable.
• Participate in design reviews and pull‑request discussions to catch defects before they ship.
• Use AI‑assisted tools to generate and stress‑test coverage for complex accounting scenarios such as multi‑currency rounding, period‑close races and FX drift.
• Own release readiness, deciding when a release is not yet ready and ensuring every release is defended on purpose.

Required profile

• Quality‑obsessed operator who constantly asks “how would this break?”.
• Strong fundamentals in software testing, with the drive to own end‑to‑end quality.
• Early‑career professionals or seasoned QA/SDET engineers who want to shape the testing culture of a fast‑growing startup.

Required skills

• Test automation and test‑framework experience.
• CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted testing tools.
• Understanding of accounting workflows, double‑entry bookkeeping, multi‑currency handling is a plus.
