Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Finance Manager to lead corporate finance operations, financial reporting and business partnering for a leading conglomerate in Colombo. The role offers the chance to influence strategic initiatives while ensuring strong financial governance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and ensure timely preparation of accurate management and statutory reports.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual report in compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.
• Develop, review, and implement Group finance policies and procedures.
• Manage SAP‑driven finance processes and support continuous process improvements.
• Partner with corporate office functions by providing financial insights and decision‑making support.
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor budgets, analyse variances, and manage the corporate cost base to improve financial performance.
• Analyse financial data and prepare reports to support strategic planning and business growth.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to ensure effective financial governance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CASL, CIMA, or ACCA) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 2‑5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, or financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and business partnering skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced corporate environment while managing multiple priorities.
