Fashion Merchandiser

About the role

The Fashion Merchandiser will support the planning, coordination and merchandising of Tharshana’s designer‑wear collections from concept through retail. Working closely with design, production and sales teams, the role ensures collections are commercially viable, produced on schedule and presented in line with the brand’s vision.

Key responsibilities

• Plan seasonal assortments and product ranges.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
• Coordinate with production to track sample and bulk orders.
• Forecast product demand using sales data and market insights.
• Analyze sales performance and recommend markdown or replenishment strategies.
• Prepare and maintain product information and merchandising records.
• Coordinate product launches and ensure effective presentation across retail and promotional channels.
• Support pricing, merchandising documentation and visual merchandising standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple collections and timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of fashion merchandising principles, inventory management and retail operations.
• Ability to interpret sales data, identify market trends and make commercially driven recommendations.
• High attention to detail in product specifications, pricing and documentation.
• Passion for fashion, textiles and current trends, with understanding of garment construction.
• Proven experience in fashion merchandising, buying, retail planning or inventory management.
• Self‑motivated yet effective in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
