Engineering Process Technician

About the role

The Engineering Process Technician will support the production of high‑quality consumer health products by operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment. The role ensures optimal resource utilisation, cost efficiency and compliance with organisational and marketing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machines to meet division production targets.
• Follow SOPs, operation manuals and GMP/EHS standards for safe and compliant processing.
• Report abnormal noises, observations or breakdowns to the section head, engineering and other relevant parties.
• Maintain accurate machine log sheets, history cards and production records.
• Perform routine cleaning, waste minimisation and Kaizen activities.
• Carry out adjustments, repairs and preventive maintenance on plant, utilities and machinery.
• Separate and dispose of rejects according to standard procedures.
• Complete batch documentation on time and ensure good documentation practices.
• Work night shifts, extended hours or weekends as required and rotate across value streams.

Required profile

• Relevant technical certification such as NCT, NCII or NVQ Level 3‑5 in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic or Mechatronic disciplines.

Required skills

• Machine operation and maintenance.
• Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements.
• Knowledge of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) standards.
• Familiarity with QMS (Quality Management System) procedures.
• Ability to perform adjustments and repairs on plant equipment.
• Experience with batch documentation and record‑keeping.
• Participation in Kaizen and waste‑minimisation projects.
