Data QA Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data QA Lead to oversee quality assurance across data initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and integrity throughout the data lifecycle. The role involves leading testing efforts, collaborating with data engineers and business analysts, and driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QA activities for data projects and enhancements.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans.
• Perform both manual and automation testing.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems.
• Test data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses.
• Conduct data validation using strong SQL skills.
• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders.
• Drive test automation and continuous quality improvements.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Testing.
• Proven experience in manual and automation testing.
• Strong background in creating and executing test cases and test plans.
• Solid knowledge of defect management and QA best practices.
• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
• Ability to work closely with data engineering teams.
