Data Engineer – Fixed‑Term (2 years)

About the role

Michelin is seeking a Data Engineer to support the I4.0 transformation at a site level. The role involves implementing and managing the Factory Data Lake, ensuring data quality, and providing functional support to users.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Data Lake/Data Store according to central specifications and manage access to D2/D3 data.
• Apply data governance rules, validate data quality, and drive continuous improvement of data‑quality controls.
• Provide L2 user support, training, and maintain documentation for digital applications.
• Co‑lead the data administrator network and collaborate with the Site Information Manager and ULD Data Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with data platforms, data lakes, relational databases and SQL.
• Strong analytical mindset with a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• SQL querying, data handling (CSV, JSON) and relational database concepts.
• Data lake and data store architecture knowledge.
• Experience with data pipelines, Databricks and Azure cloud platforms.
• Python scripting for data processing.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI and cloud analytics services.
