Consultant - Data Security & Compliance

About the role

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Consultant to lead data security and compliance initiatives in Colombo. The role involves managing security incidents, guiding teams, and supporting pre‑sales activities for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve escalated security incidents and tickets promptly while meeting SLA and quality requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, maintain documentation, and improve SOPs to support knowledge sharing.
• Review change implementation plans, ensure compliance, assess human error risks, and contribute to capacity and resource planning.
• Engage with customers to address concerns, gather feedback, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Perform root cause and trend analysis and prepare performance reports to support business decision‑making.
• Support pre‑sales initiatives by providing technical expertise in data security, compliance, and GRC, working closely with sales and product teams.

Required profile

• Expertise in Data Security, Compliance, GRC, and pre‑sales activities.
• Strong root cause analysis and security incident management skills.
• Experience creating and improving SOPs and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, operational efficiency, and product lifecycle management.
• Educational background in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (preferred).
