Business Development Officer

About the role

ChargeUP, a joint venture focused on building Sri Lanka's EV charging infrastructure, is seeking energetic Business Development Officers. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving sales of charging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for EV charging solutions across corporate, hospitality, residential, fuel station, and commercial segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring long‑term partnerships.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and compelling business presentations.
• Coordinate with technical and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry exhibitions.
• Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and follow up on leads professionally.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sales or business development.
• Experience in engineering, energy, or automobile sectors is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
