Business Development Executive

About the role

Sap Ceylon is seeking a responsible, commercially driven Business Development Executive to own B2B sales growth for its natural coconut‑sap based sweeteners. The role focuses on creating and expanding relationships with hotels, resorts, cafés, restaurants, specialty retailers, wellness businesses and other B2B customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new B2B opportunities across hospitality, retail and wellness sectors.
• Approach hotels, resorts, cafés, restaurants and retailers to present Sap Ceylon products and business propositions.
• Negotiate terms, close sales and follow up on leads, quotations and orders.
• Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships and develop recurring accounts.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and take ownership of sales targets and results.
• Travel to client meetings and business development events as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in B2B sales or business development.
• Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills.
• Proven ability to approach decision‑makers independently.
• Commercially minded, proactive and able to work independently.
• Experience in HORECA, hospitality, FMCG, food, wellness or retail is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and market development.
