AV Technician

About the role

The AV Technician ensures that all audiovisual, sound, lighting and multimedia equipment at Anantara Kalutara Resort operates flawlessly for guest events, conferences, meetings, weddings and entertainment activities. The role is pivotal in delivering seamless technical support that enhances the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot AV, sound, lighting and multimedia systems throughout the hotel.
• Set up and test equipment for events, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
• Provide timely on‑site support to guests and internal departments during events.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and document any issues or repairs.
• Collaborate with event planners and other hotel staff to coordinate technical needs.

Required profile

• Background in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with audiovisual systems, sound equipment and lighting controls.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
