Automotive Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

The A/C Technician will work full‑time on‑site at Kia Motors’ flagship facility in Malabe, installing, inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicle air‑conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose A/C issues and perform corrective repairs.
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, including refrigerant level checks and component replacements.
• Install and service A/C plumbing – lines, fittings, condensate drainage.
• Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Uphold Kia’s quality standards and support efficient workshop operations.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for vehicle A/C systems.
• Hands‑on experience with A/C plumbing and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of EPA or local refrigerant handling and disposal regulations.
• Basic to intermediate electrical skills (wiring, relays, fuses, controls).
• Technical or vocational training in automotive A/C, automotive technology or related field; HVAC certification is a plus.
• Ability to read technical manuals, service bulletins and wiring diagrams.
• Attention to detail, safety‑conscious work habits and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Previous experience as an A/C Technician or in automotive service is a strong asset.
