Automation Engineer (2 Years Fixed-Term)

About the role

Michelin is seeking an Automation Engineer on a two‑year fixed‑term contract to lead feasibility studies, design solutions and ensure equipment validation across multiple business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement quality system methods such as risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews and quality planning.
• Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate cost, schedule, risk and functional criteria, and develop action plans for risk management.
• Design solutions in collaboration with other business lines and obtain validations (CI, RF, RC) after realization, installation and start‑up.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records for OTG‑OTS availability, evolution requests, non‑conformities and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate equipment homologation, qualification and industrial robustness, and manage intellectual property filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of automation/electrical engineering experience, preferably as a project leader.
• Strong leadership, project management and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens).
• HMI configuration, programming and communication (Rockwell).
• Variable Frequency Drives and Motion Control technologies (Rockwell, Siemens, Control Techniques).
• Robotics maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Teams).
