Associate Software Architect

About the role

Sysco LABS, the global in‑house technology centre of Sysco Corporation, is seeking an Associate Software Architect to design, develop and maintain scalable, secure, high‑performance applications that support end‑to‑end foodservice operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java Spring Boot, React and Redux applications, ensuring scalability, security and performance.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, micro‑services and event‑driven components on AWS.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns and best practices across the development team.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, DevOps and other engineers to deliver business objectives.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability and reliability issues and provide technical guidance and mentorship.

Required profile

• First degree in Computer Science (or related) with a minimum of ten years of experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership role.
• Hands‑on technical leader who balances architecture duties with active coding, debugging and implementation.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and mentoring abilities.

• Java (Java 17+), Spring Boot
