Associate Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Lead DevOps Engineer to join the LCH Securities Technology team at LSEG. You will design, build and improve the tools and infrastructure that power our software development lifecycle, supporting high‑impact capital‑markets systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain DevOps tooling and SDLC platforms used across multiple engineering teams.
• Develop integrations with third‑party tools for development, testing and service operations.
• Create high‑quality automation, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions.
• Partner with engineering and QA teams to identify process gaps and drive improvements.
• Lead the design and implementation of solutions that enhance developer experience and platform reliability.
• Improve observability through monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives that simplify workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership to the DevOps team throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Explore new technologies and introduce innovative approaches.

Required profile

• Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with AWS services and cloud‑native architectures.
• Hands‑on experience building Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions, preferably with Terraform.
• High proficiency in Python for automation and tooling development.
• Experience supporting engineering teams and delivering scalable internal solutions.
• Knowledge of Java or C++ is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for automation, reliability and developer experience.
