Assistant Manager/Manager - Credit Analysis (Wholesale Banking)

About the role

We are seeking talented credit professionals to join our newly established Credit Analysis Unit within Wholesale Banking. The role involves conducting high‑quality financial and credit analysis for large corporates, corporate banking, project finance, and emerging corporates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare well‑structured, analytically robust credit proposals in line with internal standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive financial, business, and industry analysis, including historical performance, forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers to understand deal requirements and ensure appropriate credit structuring.
• Evaluate financial statements, projections, business plans, project feasibility studies, and market dynamics as part of due diligence.
• Support the end‑to‑end underwriting process, including credit memos, covenant setting, rating assessments, and responding to approver queries.
• Monitor credit exposures, covenant compliance, and portfolio performance; support early warning identification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or related field; professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA, ACCA preferred.
• 4‑6 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis within banking or financial services.
• Experience with large corporates or project finance is an advantage.
• Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills with solid understanding of credit underwriting principles.
• Excellent written communication and credit memo drafting abilities.
