Assistant Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Business Development Manager to support our freight forwarding division. The role will help drive growth by identifying new opportunities and nurturing client relationships while collaborating across internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing strategic sales plans to increase revenue and market share.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international freight services.
• Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and tenders for prospective clients.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers through regular engagement.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, and finance departments to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and logistics documentation.
• Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, or Freight Forwarding preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM software (preferred).
