AI & Legal Operations Specialist (IGT1)

About the role

IGT1, an offshore technology and talent solutions company based in Port City, Colombo, is seeking a Legal Operations & AI Enablement Specialist to advance its client's Legal function's digital transformation. The role leads the management of legal data and AI-powered tools, covering automation in document review, risk triage and contract analysis, and combines legal operations, AI tool optimization, systems management and cross-functional business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance AI-enabled legal databases and document analysis tools, and manage and optimize Contract IQ
• Curate, structure and validate AI training data (contracts, NDAs, compliance checklists) and create custom GPTs and other AI-powered legal solutions
• Provide technical leadership of Legal AI tools, troubleshoot systems and recommend improvements
• Define, refine and standardize legal processes, assess tools and drive cross-functional improvement initiatives
• Develop legal metrics and business insights, enable change management and lead coordination of legal technology projects
• Bridge Legal, technical teams and business stakeholders, turn data outputs into actionable insights and update user documentation and training materials
• (Optional) Support low-level legal work such as NDA reviews, drafting and administrative legal workflows, and compliance tracking

Required profile

• 2+ years' experience in operations or related business support, ideally in an international organization with a virtual working environment
• University degree or comparable professional experience
• Fluency in English
• Experience in Legal Operations, legal technology or legal process management, and understanding of contract workflows and document lifecycle
• Experience with AI-enabled tools or legal tech platforms, and cross-functional work in a global environment
• Desirable: legal operations education, technical IT-facing business analyst experience, and legal/compliance knowledge
