About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting functions and lead the monthly closing process for a menswear and fashion retail business in Negombo.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the monthly closing process and prepare management accounts.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
- Verify daily cash books and cashier day‑end records against POS records.
- Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Process monthly payroll and handle EPF/ETF obligations.
- Reconcile payment gateway settlements and courier collections.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounting records.
Required profile
- AAT qualified, part‑qualified in CA/CIMA/ACCA, or a degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on accounting experience, including month‑end closing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhala.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently.

- Odoo or similar ERP system
