Yoga Coach (Freelance)

About the role

Surf Spirit is looking for a certified yoga coach to lead daily classes at its retreat in Sri Lanka. You will work closely with guests of all levels, creating a safe and inspiring environment that blends yoga practice with the surf‑spirit philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver yoga sessions (Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin) for groups up to 20 participants.
• Guide meditations and integrate them into each class.
• Adapt lesson plans to individual guest levels, from beginners to advanced yogis.
• Maintain and clean the yoga shala and equipment before and after each use.
• Participate in communal meals, social activities, and overall retreat life.
• Drive a scooter around the retreat area as needed (Class B licence).

Required profile

• Fully certified in an active yoga style (Vinyasa, Hatha or similar) and Yin Yoga.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to stay on site for at least five months.
• High stress tolerance, strong social skills, and a team‑player attitude.
• Class B (international) driving licence and comfort driving scooters in Sri Lanka.
