Workshop Foreman – Automotive Service

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to lead our automotive service team at our Kurunegala facility. The role is full-time, on-site and focuses on ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality repair and maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise workshop technicians and coordinate daily workflow.
• Allocate jobs, monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Inspect completed work, resolve technical issues and enforce quality standards.
• Organise tools, heavy equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with service advisors and management on job status and customer requirements.
• Prepare repair estimates and parts quotations.
• Plan daily and weekly work schedules and maintain accurate records.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.

Required profile

• Diploma in Automobile engineering or a recognised trade certificate (CGTTI/ATI).
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Foreman in an automotive workshop.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
• Preferably residing near Kurunegala.
