Washing Plant Manager – Apparel Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, technically competent, and results‑oriented Washing Plant Manager to lead all washing plant operations in an apparel manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence across garment washing processes, meeting production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, compliance and delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee overall washing plant operations to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production.
• Develop and execute production plans aligned with customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor daily performance, achieving productivity, quality and efficiency targets.
• Optimize manpower, machinery, chemical consumption and utilities to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications and environmental regulations.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance operational performance.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in apparel washing operations.
• Proven experience in a managerial or plant‑leadership role.
• Strong technical expertise in garment washing processes, chemicals and fabric treatments.
• Comprehensive understanding of apparel manufacturing quality standards.
• Ability to drive productivity improvements, cost‑control initiatives and operational excellence.
