Warehouse Executive

About the role

British American Tobacco is seeking a Warehouse Executive to manage stock and warehouse operations across its Colombo and Kandy facilities. The role ensures product integrity, compliance and efficient logistics while supporting the company’s goal of a smokeless world.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, rotation and issuance of finished goods, ensuring FIFO compliance and stock accuracy.
• Monitor shelf‑life, manage slow‑moving or aged inventory and coordinate actions on rejected, expired or damaged goods.
• Coordinate import/export clearance, customs documentation, duty payments and regulatory licensing for timely freight execution.
• Supervise daily warehouse activities, secondary logistics movements and 3PL handlers to guarantee safe and accurate execution.
• Maintain compliance with EHS, P&HM, customs, excise and internal control requirements.

Required profile

• BSc in Logistics Management, International Transport Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock reconciliation, cycle counting and FIFO controls.
• Experience with import/export clearance processes, customs documentation and regulatory licensing.
• Leadership capability with stakeholder engagement and service‑provider management skills.

Required skills

• SAP (warehouse module) and related warehouse system transactions.
• Knowledge of HS codes and Incoterms.
• Customs documentation handling, CUSDEC verification and duty payment processes.
