VP - Finance

About the role

The Vice President – Finance will lead the finance function for HSBC Global Service Centre in Sri Lanka. The role ensures best‑practice financial management, internal control compliance and strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely financial reporting, performance review and analysis to GSC Sri Lanka management and central Finance teams.
• Support decision‑making with insightful financial analysis and assist the Central Director on entity‑level financial reporting.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement audit recommendations and manage operational risk.
• Lead treasury activities, including cash management, accounts receivable collection, foreign‑currency exposure monitoring and billing methodology adherence.
• Oversee taxation compliance, transfer pricing coordination and relationships with external tax authorities.
• Partner with functions such as IT, CRE and HR to deliver finance‑related services and act as Finance relationship manager across HSBC.
• Drive team motivation, leadership and a high‑performance work environment.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance experience, preferably within a large banking or financial services organisation.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, treasury management and tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, audit processes and operational risk.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire and develop finance teams.
