Training Specialist – Sales Staff (Automotive)

About the role

Abans Auto, a leading automotive distributor in Sri Lanka, is seeking a Training Specialist to support its extensive dealer network. The role focuses on delivering product and sales training for HERO motorcycles and other automotive offerings, helping dealers improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct HERO motorcycle product training programs across the dealer network.
• Train sales consultants on effective product demonstrations.
• Deliver sales skill development programs to boost dealership sales performance.
• Coach sales personnel on closing techniques and conversion improvement.
• Provide system training related to supply chain management and sales processes.
• Maintain and update training records, attendance, and evaluation reports.
• Monitor trainee performance and recommend development actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Training & Development or Sales Training (preferred).
• 2‑5 years of experience in sales training, retail training or automotive sales.
• Prior experience in the motorcycle, automotive, FMCG or retail sales industry.
• Experience conducting training programs across multiple locations and managing large sales teams.
• Hands‑on experience in dealership operations and sales processes.
