Trainee Sales Agent

About the role

SMARTMenu is seeking a motivated Trainee Sales Agent to help transform the dining experience across hotels and restaurants in Sri Lanka. You will work directly with customers in the field, introducing our digital menu solution, demonstrating its benefits, and driving sales.

Key responsibilities

• Visit new and existing hotel/restaurant customers according to a scheduled plan.
• Introduce and demonstrate the SMARTMenu application, addressing client questions.
• Close sales and secure agreements for the solution.
• Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients.
• Follow up on proposals, invoices, and pending actions.
• Promote special campaigns and promotions.
• Represent SMARTMenu with professionalism and integrity.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil optional).
• Energetic, confident, self‑motivated and comfortable working in the field.
• Previous sales experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Valid motorcycle or driving licence.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
