Telesales Agent – Insurance Sales

About the role

We are looking for a confident communicator to join HNB Life’s Tele Sales Team. As a Telesales Agent you will turn inbound leads from our digital platforms into insurance sales, helping customers protect their financial future.

Key responsibilities

• Contact and engage leads generated through digital channels.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Present and sell a range of insurance products over the phone.
• Explain product features, benefits, terms and conditions clearly.
• Follow up proactively with prospects to close sales.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, leads and sales activities.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to team objectives.
• Stay updated on product offerings, promotions and sales initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong passion for sales and achieving targets.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, persuasive telephone communication.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and present suitable solutions.
• Negotiation, objection‑handling and closing abilities.
• Highly motivated, energetic and results‑oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure in a target‑driven environment.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital/CRM systems.
• Good command of English; Sinhala or Tamil a plus.
• Previous experience in telesales, insurance sales or call centre is advantageous, but freshers are welcome.
