Technician & Sales Executive – Renewable Energy

About the role

Solaris Energy is seeking a dynamic Technician cum Sales Executive to join its expanding renewable‑energy team. You will combine technical expertise with sales acumen to deliver solar solutions to customers across Sri Lanka.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customers, conduct site inspections and perform technical assessments.
• Promote and sell solar PV systems and related products.
• Identify client requirements and recommend appropriate solar solutions.
• Support installation of panels, inverters and related equipment.
• Provide basic troubleshooting, maintenance and after‑sales service.
• Prepare quotations and follow up with prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to business growth.
• Coordinate with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in solar, electrical, technical sales or a related area is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and basic solar PV concepts.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer‑handling abilities.
• Target‑oriented, self‑motivated and comfortable working in the field.
• Willingness to travel to customer and project sites; a valid driving licence is a plus.
