Technical Lead – Microsoft Power BI

About the role

HCLTech is looking for an experienced Technical Lead to own the design, development, and delivery of enterprise‑level Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will translate complex data into actionable insights and ensure high‑performing, scalable reporting for global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and optimisation of Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, data models, and ETL processes.
• Design advanced DAX measures, validate data accuracy, and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement report security, performance tuning, and ongoing enhancements.
• Mentor team members and support successful BI project delivery.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, DAX, and dashboard development.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills, including query optimisation and data management.
• Experience with dimensional data modelling and Snowflake environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver BI solutions.
• Analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with SAP data and Power BI certifications are a plus.
