Technical Lead - DevOps / Software Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead to drive DevOps and SRE initiatives across three SaaS products, ensuring high availability and reliable deployments. The role combines hands‑on engineering with team leadership to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect all DevOps/SRE related areas for three products.
• Design and own the deployment architecture of the SaaS platform.
• Identify reliability measures to ensure high availability of mission‑critical deployments across regions.
• Lead a team of highly skilled engineers.
• Be hands‑on in every aspect of the delivery process.
• Collaborate with development and solution teams to understand requirements and provide solutions.
• Ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain quality of all SRE deliveries.
• Mentor and develop the engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps combined with software engineering.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, GCP, Docker, observability tools and middleware.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Helm and Ansible.
• Solid Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Experience troubleshooting performance of backend services, databases, message brokers and load balancers.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus.
• Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English.
• Proven experience managing technical teams.
