Team Lead – Inspection & Repair (Automotive Logistics)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing automotive export logistics company seeking a proactive Team Lead to manage vehicle inspection and repair operations from the moment an auction win is secured until the vehicle clears the shipping yard. You will ensure compliance with destination‑specific pre‑export inspections and maintain high standards of quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, monitor and support the operations team handling daily inspection bookings and repair workflows.
• Schedule and verify all country‑specific pre‑export inspections (e.g., JEVIC, QISJ, JAAI) to meet regulatory standards.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs, review workshop quotes and approve them to ensure fair pricing and quality workmanship.
• Track the entire process from auction win to shipping yard clearance, identifying and removing bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with trusted mechanics, repair centres and official inspection bodies.
• Act as the escalation point for vehicles that fail inspection or require unexpected, high‑cost repairs.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in automotive logistics, car export operations, or service centre management.
• Experience with Japanese auction vehicles is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage, motivate and organise a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with automotive pre‑shipping inspection standards and export/import compliance.
• Capability to evaluate repair estimates and understand basic automotive mechanics to avoid overpaying.

Required skills

What we offer

• Opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a dynamic, international logistics environment.
• Exposure to a wide range of automotive markets and inspection standards.
• Professional growth through hands‑on leadership of end‑to‑end export processes.
