Team Lead – Accounts Payable (US Client)

About the role

Infomate is seeking a Team Lead for Accounts Payable to support its US client. Join a high‑performing finance team in Colombo and help drive efficient invoice processing for multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox, ensuring invoices and supporting documents are received, categorized and tracked.
• Process and accurately enter supplier invoices into accounting systems within agreed timelines.
• Validate invoice information, identify discrepancies or missing data, and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain invoice records, attachments and issue logs, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow‑up.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and approvers to resolve invoice‑related queries and support smooth workflow.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of Finance & Accounting experience, including at least 1 year in Accounts Payable.
• Previous Team Lead experience (approximately 1 year) is preferred.
• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Management or pursuing CA/ACCA/CIMA/CMA/AAT.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience working with foreign clients is mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong MS Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of Certinia (FinancialForce) preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Sage or Oracle.
