Tax Accountant

About the role

As a Tax Accountant at Phoenix Industries Ltd you will ensure compliance with tax regulations, keep tax activities up‑to‑date and help optimise tax strategies to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyse financial statements and transactions to identify tax implications and optimisation opportunities.
• Stay informed of changes in tax laws, regulations and accounting standards for timely reporting.
• Provide tax planning advice to minimise liabilities and maximise financial benefits.
• Collaborate with colleagues to gather necessary financial information for tax return preparation.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries, audits and investigations, supplying required documentation.
• Manage tax audits and notices from authorities effectively.
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual tax payments, extensions and estimated taxes.
• Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field (required).
• Minimum three years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within a corporate tax department.
• Master’s degree or CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
