Talent Acquisition Executive

About the role

Sumathi Holdings is seeking a motivated Talent Acquisition Executive to support recruitment across its diversified group of companies in Sri Lanka. The role involves sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews and ensuring smooth onboarding while partnering closely with hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: job posting, CV screening, interview coordination, candidate follow‑up and onboarding support.
• Source candidates via job portals, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, agencies and direct sourcing.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date CV database for current and future hiring needs.
• Conduct initial screenings to assess qualifications, experience, salary expectations and notice periods.
• Coordinate interview schedules with candidates, hiring managers, department heads and senior management.
• Prepare job advertisements, descriptions, candidate summaries, interview schedules and related documents.
• Draft appointment letters and other employment documentation for selected candidates.
• Arrange employee ID cards, induction sessions and communication with relevant departments.
• Assist with reference checks, background verifications, recruitment trackers, vacancy reports and employer‑branding initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources Management or a professional HR qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or HR operations.
• Good understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing methods and HR documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using LinkedIn, TopJobs, recruitment portals, CV databases or applicant tracking systems.
