System Engineer

About the role

Riskonnect is looking for a System Engineer to operate, monitor and support its global IT infrastructure and application environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, performing backups, and collaborating with internal teams, vendors and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all installed application systems and Riskonnect global IT infrastructure.
• Maintain Riskonnect application product hosted environments, including deployments to cloud and SH servers.
• Perform regular backups, data recovery and restoration tasks.
• Provide technical support for daily operations and resolve issues with external vendors.
• Assist other teams with TechOps queries, presales inquiries and change requests.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call roster.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in system administration or similar roles.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure, BCP, DR, ISO and ITIL best practices.
• Ability to propose realistic solutions to complex problems and estimate effort with commercial awareness.
• Experience documenting technical artefacts and supporting presales activities.
