System Engineer – AD, Azure & Linux Specialist

About the role

Variosystems is looking for a System Engineer to design, implement and manage core IT services across Windows and Linux environments. You will ensure high availability, security and performance of our network and cloud infrastructure while supporting a fast‑moving, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and domain/sub‑domain structures.
• Perform server updates, migrations and troubleshooting on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Maintain and optimise network infrastructure for reliability and security.
• Manage Microsoft Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage and networking.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery and redundancy strategies.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and apply corrective actions.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Document configurations, processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, IT or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in system engineering or administration.
• Strong knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, server migration and network design.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of security principles and compliance standards.
• Experience configuring and maintaining SQL Server environments.
