Structured Products Analyst

About the role

FSP Advisors is establishing its first analyst function in Colombo. As a Structured Products Analyst you will be the analytical engine behind product ideas, ensuring the firm knows what the market offers, what clients need, and where the two intersect.

Key responsibilities

• Run pricing requests across a multi‑issuer platform, compare competing quotes, and identify the best terms.
• Read term sheets, flag deviations, and maintain Excel tools that support pricing and comparison.
• Screen equities and indices for structuring potential, producing concise research notes on underlyings.
• Maintain a watch on the structured products market, tracking issuers, pricing trends, and thematic developments.
• Translate client needs into concrete structures such as autocalls, reverse convertibles, and capital‑protected notes.
• Stress‑test ideas against drawdowns, maturity scenarios, and worst‑of performance.
• Prepare client‑facing materials, including comparison tables, portfolio reports, and product dashboards.
• Track live positions, observation dates, triggers, coupon payments, and barrier proximity.

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in financial markets, preferably with exposure to structured products.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize market data and client requirements.
• Attention to detail when reviewing term sheets and pricing quotes.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency for building and maintaining analytical tools.
