Strategic Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Strategic Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth and expand our merchant acquiring footprint. You will identify new opportunities, build strong partner relationships, and guide a high‑performing team of Key Account Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Gross Transaction Value (GTV) and revenue growth through strategic initiatives.
• Analyze market trends, customer insights, and industry developments to uncover new business opportunities.
• Onboard new merchants across diverse sectors, expanding the merchant acquiring network.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline onboarding and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with key merchant partners to ensure long‑term growth and retention.
• Conduct regular business reviews with merchants to maximize performance and identify upsell opportunities.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Key Account Managers to achieve targets.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies for new products and market segments, and prepare periodic performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, merchant acquisition, sales management, or payments industry operations.
• Strong understanding of digital payments, merchant acquiring, and growth strategies.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical ability, and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑development skills.
• Results‑oriented with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing capabilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and performance management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
