About the role
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing all materials, equipment and tools required for ongoing projects. This role ensures that inventory levels are accurate, supplies are issued promptly, and the store environment remains safe and organized.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update inventory records for materials, equipment, and tools related to projects.
- Issue materials to project sites and the factory based on approved requisitions.
- Conduct regular stock checks to verify accuracy and prevent shortages.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department and committee to receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity.
- Ensure proper storage of materials in compliance with safety and organisational standards.
- Prepare stock reports and assist with internal audits as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area.
Required profile
- Passed G.C.E. A/L, preferably in the commerce stream.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a related inventory or storekeeping role.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Stock/Inventory Management system.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (QB).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
