Store Supervisor – Thulhiriya

About the role

The client, a textile industry retailer, is seeking a Store Supervisor to manage daily showroom operations in Thulhiriya. The role involves leading the store team, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting sales and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise sales assistants, cashiers and showroom staff.
• Manage opening, closing and overall store operations.
• Monitor sales performance and help achieve targets.
• Maintain product displays, pricing, replenishment and visual merchandising.
• Oversee stock levels, inventory accuracy and stock counts.
• Ensure proper POS, cash handling, discounts and payment procedures.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline and performance.
• Implement promotions, company policies and loss‑prevention measures.
• Maintain store cleanliness, security and operational standards.
• Report daily sales and operational matters to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years retail or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer‑service skills.
• Good organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Good command of Sinhala and English; Tamil is an advantage.
