Steam Application Engineer

About the role

The Steam Application Engineer is a full‑time hybrid position based in Anuradhapura, responsible for designing, configuring and optimizing steam and thermal systems for industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure steam systems, boilers and thermic fluid heaters, including associated mechanical and electrical components.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, conduct site visits and supervise installations and commissioning.
• Perform testing, performance evaluation and safety validation of steam and thermal equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues, prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives, train operators and maintenance staff, and contribute to proposals and cost estimates for new projects.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in steam systems, boilers and thermic fluid heaters.
• Electrical engineering knowledge sufficient to understand control systems, instrumentation and power requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and equipment specifications.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety, quality and compliance.
