Staff Nurse – Colombo

About the role

The organization is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join its Colombo centre. The role combines clinical nursing duties with guest‑relations and administrative responsibilities, ensuring high‑quality patient care and smooth centre operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record patient basic details such as weight, height, BMI and maintain medical records.
• Perform phlebotomy: collect blood samples, label them, affix bar‑codes and prepare them for laboratory transport.
• Administer vaccines, verify mandatory immunisations and generate vaccination vouchers when needed.
• Administer prescribed medication and provide general nursing care, including vital‑sign monitoring.
• Conduct vision tests (visual acuity and colour vision).
• Capture customer satisfaction scores using the C‑Sat device.
• Maintain inventory of medical consumables, non‑consumables and vaccines.
• Verify service receipts, lab job orders and update dispatch registers for sample transportation.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal according to state guidelines.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Registered with the local nursing regulatory authority.
• Computer literate and able to handle data‑entry tasks.
