Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Solutions Engineer will drive infrastructure automation and AI initiatives while managing IT infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring system reliability and security within a higher‑education organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify manual IT processes and implement automation and AI solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows and scripts.
• Administer servers, networks, storage, and cloud/on‑premises infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, security, and performance.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Manage identity and access controls, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Support infrastructure upgrades and ensure high availability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience (or 6 years overall).
• At least 1 year in an assistant manager, supervisory or lead role.

Required skills

• Hands‑on scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Power Automate or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) practices.
