Solution Designer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Designer to create scalable, secure, and business‑aligned technology solutions for complex requirements. Based in Colombo, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, architects and development teams to turn business needs into detailed solution designs ready for implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into end‑to‑end solution designs.
• Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to clarify requirements, identify gaps and propose solution options.
• Create architecture diagrams, application flows, process flows, data flows and integration designs.
• Evaluate alternative technical approaches, considering scalability, security, performance and cost.
• Define components, interfaces, APIs, data models, integrations and system dependencies.
• Produce solution design documents, technical specifications and implementation guidelines.
• Support development teams during implementation and provide design guidance.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and constraints early in the lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions and solution demonstrations.
• Contribute to reusable design patterns, frameworks and best practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in software development, solution design or architecture.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and enterprise application architecture.
• Proven ability to convert business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Required skills

• Low‑code/no‑code platforms such as Appian, Pega, OutSystems, Mendix or Microsoft Power Platform.
• API design and integration using REST or SOAP.
• Database concepts and data‑flow modelling.
• Understanding of authentication, system integration and security principles.
