Solar PV Technician – Utility Scale

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Technician to operate, monitor and maintain our utility‑scale solar PV plant. The role ensures optimal performance of the 20 MW solar facility and supports ongoing renewable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain solar PV equipment including modules, inverters, transformers, LV/MV switchgear and SCADA systems.
• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance to maximise plant output.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environment standards.
• Supervise contractors, oversee panel cleaning, vegetation control and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Keep daily logbooks and support overall plant operations.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in utility‑scale solar PV plants.
• Experience with solar PV systems and medium‑voltage switchgear.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and capacity to work independently and within a team.
