Software Engineer II

About the role

Zebra is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support our products and systems. You will focus on quality assurance, test automation, and integration of software with hardware, ensuring high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for SDKs and tools, using both manual and automated methods.
• Maintain and expand automated test suites to standardize testing procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual and automated testing on Windows and Linux platforms to identify defects and usability issues.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve testing methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, and automation.
• Strong understanding of QA and automation processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Experience with agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in writing and maintaining automated tests using Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience with Python‑based automation frameworks and test script development.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for agile project management.
