Software Engineer I – AI Platform

About the role

The Platform AI team at Circles builds the AI platform that powers its SaaS telco products. This position sits at the intersection of backend and AI engineering, ideal for engineers who enjoy shipping production software and working with LLM‑powered, agentic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cross‑repository features, including API contracts, database schemas, and migrations.
• Build backend services that enable AI‑driven workflows and core platform capabilities.
• Develop and maintain LLM‑enabled features and agentic workflows across a distributed system.
• Write maintainable, well‑tested code with strong performance and security practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed services.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver reliable user‑facing systems.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building and shipping live code.
• Strong Python expertise, especially with asynchronous FastAPI applications.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs or other AI‑powered application features.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals such as HTTP, service communication, and scalability.
