Sewing Technician – Narammala

About the role

We are looking for a Sewing Technician to join our apparel manufacturing facility in Narammala. The successful candidate will oversee the sewing process, ensure product quality, and meet production efficiency targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Organise pre‑production meetings to clarify product specifications and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with industrial and mechanical engineering teams to secure machine requirements for timely production start‑up.
• Supervise the entire sewing process, ensuring schedules are met with the right quality.
• Monitor sewn product quality and maintain compliance with required standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to sewing operators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to sewing machines and equipment.
• Prepare lines for quick change‑overs in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Analyse and optimise the sewing process to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process‑improvement methodologies.
• Maintain production records, including output, defects and downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Work closely with design and development teams to understand product specifications.
• Advise on sewing and technical aspects of garment construction to meet customer requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in garment, sewing technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a sewing or garment production environment.
