Settlement & Mortgage Specialist – Remote (Sri Lanka)

About the role

Are you an experienced Settlement & Mortgage Specialist with strong communication skills and sharp attention to detail? Join Elephant Teams to manage finance applications and settlement workflows for Australian buyers, reporting to the Head of Commercial Lending in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end settlement processes from conditional approval to final settlement, liaising with buyers’ agents, lenders, solicitors, conveyancers and mortgage brokers.
• Prepare, review and verify legal documentation, contracts and compliance requirements to ensure deals are settlement‑ready.
• Track application progress, manage key dates and proactively address bottlenecks to avoid settlement delays.
• Manage finance applications across residential and commercial loan facilities, oversee multiple loan pipelines and maintain accurate audit trails.
• Review financial documents, assess borrower creditworthiness and apply Australian banks’ lending policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of hands‑on experience in settlement coordination, loan processing or mortgage broking support.
• Fluent written and spoken English with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Meticulous precision in data entry, document verification and compliance management.
• Tech‑savvy with ability to quickly learn new CRM systems and digital loan management tools.
• Stable fiber internet connection of at least 50 Mbps.

Required skills

• Experience with Australian mortgage software such as Apply Online or Infynity.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems for loan management.
