SEO Writer

About the role

We are seeking a talented SEO Writer to join our Colombo office. You will create high‑quality, search‑optimised content that drives organic visibility and supports business growth. The role requires strong English writing skills, solid research abilities, and a good grasp of SEO fundamentals.

Key responsibilities

• Research and write SEO‑optimised blog articles, website pages, landing pages, guides and other digital content.
• Conduct keyword research, understand search intent and align content with target keywords.
• Follow SEO briefs covering keyword targets, structure, internal linking, tone of voice and word counts.
• Apply on‑page SEO best practices: keyword placement, heading hierarchy, meta titles, meta descriptions and content formatting.
• Research topics using reliable sources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Analyse competitor content and identify opportunities for more comprehensive pieces.
• Refresh existing content to improve rankings and organic performance.
• Collaborate with SEO specialists and content teams to support broader growth strategies.
• Use AI tools responsibly for research and drafting while ensuring final output is original and human‑edited.
• Proofread and edit to maintain excellent grammar, readability and consistency.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in SEO or digital content writing.
• Excellent written English with strong grammar and editorial skills.
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, keyword research and search intent.
• Proven ability to research unfamiliar topics and produce clear, engaging content.
• Experience creating long‑form SEO content and website copy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Portfolio of published SEO content is highly preferred.
